They can be divided into three categories. The first are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/animal-science\/articles\/10.3389\/fanim.2022.834634\/full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">animal- and nature-friendly concepts<\/a>. The second are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.degruyterbrill.com\/document\/doi\/10.1515\/pjbr-2018-0019\/html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">animal-friendly machines<\/a> and systems (i.e., forms of moral machines). The third are animal-inspired machines and systems that replace the animals or bring them closer to you. Articles and book chapters have been published on many of the projects. The names of the developers can be found in these. A few prototypes made it into the media, such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oliverbendel.net\/publikationen\/Ladybird_Published_Version.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LADYBIRD<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2401.03358\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HAPPY HEDGEHOG<\/a>. Oliver Bendel repeatedly refers to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.informationsethik.net\/people-of-animal-computer-interaction-2024\/\">Clara Mancini<\/a>, the pioneer in the field of animal-computer interaction. Recently, ethicists such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.informationsethik.net\/animal-ethics-and-ai-ethics\/\">Peter Singer<\/a> have also turned their attention to the topic.
